The Arizona Real Estate Advisory Board was established by the Legislature to provide the Real Estate Commissioner "with such recommendations as it deems necessary and beneficial to the best interests of the public. The board shall also provide recommendations on specific questions or proposals as requested by the Commissioner."
The board comprises of nine members appointed by the Governor. The term of office of each member is six years.
The membership of the board consists of:
Members receive no compensation. Although the Board is required by Statute to convene at least once every three months, meetings are held every other month. A notice of each meeting date and the meeting agenda is posted at the Department's Phoenix office at least one week before each meeting.

Gary Brasher was appointed to the Advisory Board by Governor Janet Napolitano in 2003. He is President of Brasher Real Estate, Incorporated, based in Santa Cruz County. Mr. Brasher, who was first licensed as a real estate salesperson in 1981, became a real estate broker in 1984. He obtained his B.A. from Arizona State University, has been responsible for developing the master-planned community of Barrio de Tubac, and holds a pilot's license.

Lisa Suarez was appointed to the Advisory Board by Governor Janet Napolitano in 2003. She is the owner of EMS Realty, one of Southern Arizona's leading property management companies. Ms. Suarez, who is a Certified Residential Specialist, was first licensed as a real estate salesperson in 1986, and has been extremely active in various professional organizations in the real estate industry.

Governor Janet Napolitano appointed Ann White on January 31, 2005 and her term expires January 31, 2011. Ms. White has been a real estate professional for 30 years and has been with U S Home for 23 years either in New Home Sales or in management since 1987. She is the 2006 Chair for the Carondolet Foundation, a non-profit organization that supports three hospitals in Southern Arizona (St. Joseph, St. Mary and Holy Cross). In the past, she has served as the Southern Arizona Home Builders Association Pac Committee Chair as well as being on the Board of the Tucson Association of Realtors®. She is also the proud grandmother of seven grandchildren.

He has been a licensee since 1979 and currently serves the Arizona Association of Realtors® as President and as National Director in Land Use and Environment. Mr. Dickens also served as a Parks and Recreation Commissioner in the City of Flagstaff. Kathleen M. O. Howe, better known as "Kathy Howe", was appointed to the Advisory Board by Governor Janet Napolitano in June 2007. She is the owner/educator/administrator of how2educate LLC, an Arizona Real Estate School. She has been licensed by ADRE as a Broker since 1986 and also by the State of Hawaii from 1998 to present (inactive). She has numerous professional and volunteer affiliations as well as being a published author. Kathy obtained a BS from Northern Arizona University in 1985. Currently Kathy is co-chairing the AZ Department of Real Estate's Lifetime License workshop, a brainstorming group looking at the future of real estate licensing.

Currently he is Executive Director of Unity of Phoenix, a local non-profit organization, and managing partner of an education company that provides software-based solution to Masters Thesis and Doctoral Dissertation students. Mr. Mosby serves on various boards in the Phoenix area. He and his wife have been residents of Phoenix for more than 10 years.
